At Benchmark School, we collaborated with Studio Ludo to reimagine the existing play space into an immersive nature-based experience that both celebrates and protects the campus’s significant old growth trees. Thoughtfully woven into the natural landscape, the design elevates play with signature treehouses and tall slides that offer exciting vantage points among the trees.
Children are encouraged to move dynamically and embrace adventure with parkour structures, salvaged logs, and boulders that invite creative, risky play. At the same time, the space serves as a vibrant hub where friends can simply relax, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm for outdoor STEAM learning. This transformation not only nurtures active play but also deepens the connection between kids and nature.
