OVERVIEW
Great Shelford Playscape was a charity set up with the vision of transforming the existing village recreation ground, into an inclusive playscape. The result is an inspiring playable landscape that does not segregate by age or ability. The completed play space benefits the whole community and will provide a wonderful legacy for future generations
The concept was designed by Erect Architecture. Duncan & Grove were appointed as the specialist design and build playground contractors.
The playscape features a central bespoke climbing frame, set upon rolling hills and mounds. Inclusive elements to the playscape include an accessible sand pit,
trampoline, hammock, roundabout and double-width slide, alongside sensory elements.
